The SW-7 UPB Universal Dimming Transceiver is a Gen2 device. The SW-Series Dimming Wall Switches provide switched lighting control throughout the home. All SW-Series switches support loads up to 900 Watts (see the rating table below). The SW-2, SW-7, SW-411 and SW-5, which have four wires that are used to connect the switch to power, neutral, load, and an optional remote switch, can easily replace any conventional three- or four-wire switch. The SW-Series are wall mounted dimming light switches capable of controlling the light level of a single 900W channel 120VAC lighting load (see rating table below). There are three separate ways that can be employed to control the light levels associated with these switches: 1) Local Rocker Switch, 2) Remote Switches, and 3) Universal Powerline Bus™ (UPB) Commands. In addition to controlling the lighting load, the switches can be configured to transmit a set of UPB Commands or Reports onto the powerline when certain Rocker Switch (or Remote Switch) events occur. The switches also contain a single bi-color LED to indicate status, modes, and events. When connected to the Web Mountain NetPlace server, these modules can be controlled manually, remotely, or by the time/event programming within the server. See more information about the SW-2 here... NOTE: SW-3 remote switches are meant to implement 3-way circuits and MUST be used in conjunction with an SW-2, SW-7, SW-411 or SW-5 dimmer. They are unusable as stand-alone devices. NOTE2: All UPB wall dimmers require a neutral wire for operation. Remote switches require traveler wires, but do not require neutrals. NOTE3: All Web Mountain UPB wall dimmers can be used to control fluorescent and other non-dimming lights. In order to do this, the switch must be programmed with NetPlace or UPStart as a non-dimming switch. Please see the Installation Instructions for more information. Key Benefits
