PC connected directly to stereo system

If the user’s PC is close enough to run leads from the PC’s sound card to the stereo’s input ports, this method works well.  The resultant audio quality will be dependent on your PC’s sound card, the distance between the PC and the tuner/amp and the quality of the stereo system itself.  Until sound cards come with digital output, you will not be able to use your tuner’s DAC (Digital to Audio Converter) to convert the digital music to analog signals necessary to drive speakers.
