Like the SST-768 the SST-748 has a scroll wheel. The 748 does not have a dedicated numeric keypad for direct channel entry. The 748 does not have dedicated PVR buttons. Easy Web Set-upThe Harmony Remote’s Activities are completely web configured through Web Wizard questions on a Member’s web page. By utilizing the world's only Smart State Database of electronic devices, set-up is a snap. Even if a brand new device is not already in the database, the Harmony Remote will "Learn" any command or add any IR device directly to the database. This way the Harmony Remote will never be out of date, and changes are quick and easy. Channel and TV Listing ViewsThe customer's channel line-up and TV listings are downloaded into the Harmony Remote's memory. Just scroll and select to choose a show to watch without having to key in any digits. The entire Member’s configuration is also transferred directly from their account to the Harmony Remote via the USB port on their computer. The configuration is always safely stored on the Member’s web page so they can make changes any time they want with their Web browser. Context sensitive HelpWith a Harmony Remote you will never hear complaints such as “I can see a picture, but I can’t hear the sound”. The customer simply presses the Help button and the Harmony Remote asks a few simple questions on its screen such as "Is the television on?" or "Is the stereo set to the DVD input?". Just click Yes or No to each question and the Harmony Remote will automatically send the correct commands to get the entertainment system back in sync. Anyone can do it! Dynamic and Customizable ButtonsEach of the Harmony Remote SST-748’s glow-in-the-dark buttons' functions is tailored to the Activity, so the remote is always intuitive to use. In addition, each button is customizable by the customer, and “seldom used” functions are always available through the Harmony Remote’s screen. Everything is at one’s fingertips.
