The Exstreamer Wireless plays MP3 audio streams from sources such as digital audio servers, PCs or Internet radio stations. The Exstreamer Wireless can be easily controlled via a web browser interface using web-connected PCs, web pads, PDAs or simply by an IR remote control (using the optional IR Remote kit). With serial and ethernet control API's the device can also be managed from typical home automation systems. The Exstreamer Wireless is perfect for multi-room distributed audio systems. Thanks to the audio synchronization capability, digital audio distribution to big halls or rooms is now possible. With an optional stick-on transmitter other IR enabled devices can be remotely controlled via the network connection. The Exstreamer Wireless can also work as a bidirectional transparent IR gateway. Connection to audio equipment is easy because the Exstreamer Wireless offers stereo RCA outputs and a headphone jack. Installing the Exstreamer Wireless is fast and simple. The device can be connected to the local network through a cable or by means of a wireless PCMCIA card. The 802.11b card is NOT included with the product, but may be purchased from most computer retail and E-tail sites. In order to use the wireless features of this product, you must have a wireless network running within range of the Exstreamer Wireless unit.
